CSI has been accredited by North Central Association since 1998. Accreditation is a status granted to an educational institution that has been found to meet or exceed stated criteria of educational quality. Accreditation has two fundamental purposes: to assure the quality of the institution or program, and to assist in the improvement of the institution or program.

IBHE
CSI is approved by The Board of Higher Education to provide AAS Degree in Network systems Administration. The Board approves all new units of instruction, research, and public service, as well as new academic administrative units, for public colleges and universities in the state. The Board also undertakes periodic review of all existing units of instruction, research, and public service to advise the appropriate governing board whether such programs continue to be educationally and economically justified.

ISBE
CSI has been licensed by Illinois State Board of Education since 1992. The major purpose of ISBE is to provide for the protection, education and welfare of the citizens of the State of Illinois and to facilitate and promote quality education and responsible, ethical business practices.

Thomson Learning
CSI partnered with Thomson Learning in providing tailored education, training, reference, and assessment solutions to organizations and individuals.

Knowledge Systems Institute (KSI)
Computer Systems Institute and Knowledge Systems Institute have developed a collaborative agreement to provide qualified students from CSI who wish to pursue an MS Degree in computer science from KSI guaranteed admission. For more information and qualification criteria, please contact CSI representative at the campus near you.

WIA
CSI is a WIA-certified training provider. The City of Chicago Mayor's Office of Workforce Development has created a new citywide delivery system that allows access to high-quality free training to those who otherwise cannot secure a job. Approximately $3.6 million in federal training funds is available to eligible Chicagoans, who can expect to choose from a range of training options offered by over 70 certified training providers located throughout the city.

IETC - Illinois Employment Training Centers
CSI is an IETC training partner. IETCs are one-stop service centers designed to link Illinois employers with qualified job seekers. These centers are committed to developing the workforce in their communities by helping employers meet their human resource needs. IETCs provide unemployment insurance, recruitment, counseling, outplacement, training and information services. It is possible that you qualify for your training at CSI to be paid through programs administered by the Centers.

As a MOWD approved vendor, Computer Systems Institute is providing learning opportunities for Chicago's diverse populations to enhance their knowledge and skills through quality, comprehensive, and affordable, educational programs and career services.

Microsoft
The Microsoft IT Academy program is a global IT learning solution that connects educators, students, and communities. It helps students during their early information technology (IT) experience and offers a life-long learning model of continuous improvement and career development.

Department of Labor
CSI was selected by DOL to receive a Technical Skills Grant. This Grant addresses the high skill technology shortages of American businesses through training programs for unemployed and employed workers. The program is financed by fees paid by employers who bring skilled foreign workers into the U.S. under H-1B nonimmigrant visas.



Prometric Testing Center
CSI is an Authorized Prometric Testing Center (APTC). Our center provides a wide variety of Information Technology (IT) certification tests from test sponsors such as Oracle, Sun, Microsoft, Cisco Systems, and CompTIA.

GI Bill
CSI is approved by the Veterans Administration to accept the GI Bill. On June 22, 1944, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt signed into law one of the most significant pieces of legislation ever produced by the United States government: The Servicemembers' Readjustment Act of 1944, commonly known as the GI Bill of Rights. By the time the original GI Bill ended in July 1956, 7.8 million World War II veterans had participated in an education or training program and 2.4 million veterans had home loans backed by VA. Today, the legacy of the original GI Bill lives on in the Montgomery GI Bill.
